Here are a few of the main reasons to consider buying Masonic challenge coins from Custom Challenge Coins.
A challenge coin is one of the best ways to represent the value of Freemasons. The Foundation of Freemasonry is based on important ideals, such as liberty, fraternity, and equality. Each member is expected to believe in God, have an active role in the community, and keep high morals. A Masonic challenge coin represents these values and will remind each member of the importance of following these ideas.
Another reason Masonic challenge coins are such a popular option is due to the flexibility to create your own design. A challenge coin will always remain a lasting keepsake, as it is a fantastic way to represent a Masonic Lodge. You can choose from countless different design combinations to create a unique coin. You will also not have to pay for artwork designs or revisions, as Custom Challenge Coins takes pride in helping your vision become a reality.
Symbolism plays a key role in Freemasonry, as a challenge coin allows you to choose numerous symbols that represent your lodge. For example, the hammer and compass is always a popular design choice or the all-seeing eye. These powerful symbols are an excellent way to represent each member while also bringing everyone closer together.
Masonic challenge coins are available in numerous sizes. Many of these coins are 1.5" to 1.75" in size, but you can also choose bigger or smaller coins. A bigger coin gives you the flexibility to add more symbols while a smaller coin is more portable. The design experts at Custom Challenge Coins can help you find the best size for Masonic coin.

You can have one side of your coin be soft enamel and the other side be hard enamel.
Challenge coins can come in a variety of sizes and shapes but the most common coin size is 2.0”, followed by 1.75” and then 1.5”. If we have concerns about your selection our team will let you know the optimal size of your coin based on your design.
The majority of our coins are die struck into brass. Large, custom shaped, or designs with large cutout areas will be cast from a zinc alloy. We made a video that goes into further details here.
Die struck coins have the designs transferred to a front & back mold, the raw brass being struck by each mold with enough force to transfer both the raised & recessed areas of the design into the brass. Die Cast molds are fit together and molten zinc metal is injected into the die to create the coin blank. You can also read our article in our resources section here!
